SK Taman Universiti Wins Raja Muda Of Selangor’s Cup

22 October 2016 : Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Taman Universiti, Seri Kembangan, Selangor emerged as champions of the Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup when they defeated SK Puchong Perdana 2-1 in the final at SUK Sports Club.

The prizes comprising a trophy, certificates and RM4,000 cash were presented by Selangor Raja Muda, Tengku Amir Shah.

The tournament was conducted in a league format with the top two teams from each of eight groups qualifying for a knockout round of the top 16 teams to enter the semi-finals followed by the final.

As runner-up, SK Puchong Perdana received RM3,000 while SK Sri Kelana and SK Seksyen 20, who finished third and fourth received RM2,000 and RM1,000, medals and certificates respectively.

Perangsang Selangor which contributed RM100,000 this year, was the main sponsor of the championship. YM Raja Dato’ Haji Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor and YB Tuan Shaari Amiruddin, EXCO for Youth Development and Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development were also present in this event.

Promising Talent Sparks New Life For Sepak Takraw

22 - 23 October 2016 : The Sepak takraw sport received a boost through the Perangsang Selangor Dreams Trio Programme which will be held for 6 months beginning October 2016 until February 2017 across 9 districts in Selangor.

On the 22 to 23 October 2016, the first edition of Dreams Trio programme was held at the Dewan Kiambang, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam which saw the Petaling district opened this unique program with 50 participants to promote sepak takraw to all walks of life and to lead a healhty lifestyle other than to elevate the sports tradition in the state in particular.

3 October 2016 : The Main Committee of HRH Raja Muda Selangor in collaboration with the District Education Office Petaling Perdana and Petaling Utama as well as Perangsang Selangor organised the 29th Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship on 3 to 22 October 2016.

The 2016’s edition involved a total of 576 football players under 12 years old representing 20 schools under the administration of PPD Petaling Perdana and 12 schools from PPD Petaling Utama to identify and unearth young football players in Selangor.

Mustafa Kamil Ayub, Perangsang Selangor CSR Director presented the prize to the winner of Charity Shield match, SK Section 20 who defeated SK Seksyen 18 with 5-0 scoreline.

The winner of this year’s championship will receive a cash prize of RM4,000, medal and trophy, runner-up RM3,000 and medal, RM2,000 and RM1,000 for 3rd and 4th place with medal respectively.

The Sports for All (SFA) programme is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor). The programme comprises eight different sports, namely badminton, archery, sepak takraw, cycling, bowling, swimming, squash and football. It will be expanded across the state of Selangor starting in October 2016 until February 2017. Among the objectives of the programme are to promote healthy living, inculcate sports culture among the youths, provide opportunities for people to learn and understand the technical aspects and latest technology in sports as well as to search for new talents.

The SFA programme started with badminton where J World Sports, the appointed training provider will organise six Badminton Clinics involving approximately 300 participants in several districts and community centers in Selangor.

According to Jason Wong, head coach, said, “The response from badminton fans is overwhelming. Besides learning to hold a racket, they also learned the right way to hit and move”.

“Through this programme, we are hoping to unearth new talents especially among the youths so that they could represent the state of Selangor and Malaysia one day”.

SMK Tinggi Kajang Retains Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup

17 September 2016 : SMK Tinggi Kajang defended the Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup after trouncing SMK Sultan Sulaiman Shah, Kuala Selangor 4-0 in the final match held at the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Sports Complex.

SMK Tinggi Kajang took only 11 minutes to score their first goal via Nazrin Aiman Azmi. SMK Tinggi Kajang, which defeated SMK Meru 1-0 in the final last year, extended their lead in the 28th minute through Muhd Afiq Azhad Ramdzan and Aiman Ariff Suffian in the 34th minute for a 3-0 lead at half time. Fariq Ashraf Rohaizan’s goal in the 46th minute secured the win for SMK Tinggi Kajang to clinch the trophy, medal and a cash prize of RM10,000.

As runners-up, SMK Sultan Sulaiman Shah received a medal and a cash prize of RM7,000, which was presented by the State Education Director, Mohd Salleh Mohd Kassim.

A total of 32 secondary school teams from across Selangor participated in the third edition of the tournament involving youths under 18. Meanwhile, the Main Committee Chairman, Dato’ Emran Kadir said that last year a total of 47 players of the tournament were handed over to the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) for talent development with six absorbed into the Youth Cup squad.

Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad is the main sponsor of the tournament for three consecutive years with sponsorship worth RM150,000.00 under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (RSS) programme.

Collaboration Program Between Perangsang Selangor With Yayasan Hijrah Selangor On Entrepreneurship Development Programme 2016

Perangsang Selangor kicked off its collaboration programme with Yayasan Hijrah Selangor which focused on further developing entrepreneurship programme in Selangor. This pilot programme, took part from September until December 2016, benefitted 120 entrepreneurs all over Selangor through 4 entrepreneurial skill training courses; Post Natal Treatment (Mobile Spa service), Bakery, Flash Stamp Printing and Tailoring.

There were two phases of development involved; phase one is Zero to Hero which involve entrepreneurial technical skill training sponsored by Perangsang Selangor and then followed by a business loan scheme consist of purchasing machinery and raw material provided by Yayasan Hijrah Selangor. Thenceforth, entrepreneurs will being assisted in soft skills enhancement in second phase, Road to Success which focuses on Foundation in Business & Accounting management. The soft skills training has been held in Suunah Kekabu Resot and Hotel, Shah Alam. Perangsang Selangor sponsored sum of RM210,000 to support this programme.

This collaboration has been tied up on effort to further assisting entrepreneurs in Selangor in line with the state government’s agenda – Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat. The programme, concentrates on the sustainability of new and existing entrepreneurs through skills training, following with loan assistance to develop their business. Besides, this collaboration also focuses on creating networking system amongst entrepreneurs in Selangor to share their information on business and opportunities.
