Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup Football Championship

8 November 2014 : Perangsang Selangor through its Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme organised an under 17 Football Tournament for the Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup (DMDC). 33 secondary schools from Petaling Perdana and Petaling Utama districts participated in the competition.

 

The teams were divided into 8 groups and the games were played based on a league format at 7 locations namely Dato’ Satim Field, SMK USJ 23 Mini Stadium, USJ 11 Public Field, SUK Field A, SUK Field B, PKNS Field B and Astaka Field MBPJ which was held from 8-22 November 2014.

 

With Perangsang Selangor’s sponsorship of RM120,000, the champions received a trophy, cash prize of RM5,000 and medal, while the runners-up received a medal and cash prize of RM4,000. The 3rd and 4th place received a cash prize of RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively. In addition, the 8 teams qualified for the quarter-finals, were given jerseys sponsored by Perangsang Selangor.

 

The donation was presented by Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor to Datuk Emran Kadir, Chairman, Steering Committee DMDC during the opening ceremony which was officiated by Mohd Salleh Mohd Kassim, Selangor Deputy Director of Education.

 

DMDC opening match was won by SMK USJ 23 defeating SMK USJ 8 with a 1-0 scoreline through a penalty kick by striker, J Prakash. He was also named the best player of the match and was presented with a Selangor jersey with Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari’s number 10.

'Kampung Desa Kasih’ Community Programme

14 - 15 August 2016 : Perangsang Selangor in collaboration with thePertubuhan Kebajikan Penyayang Darul Ehsan organised a Community Programme with less fortunate families of Kampung Desa Kasih, Parit 8½ Sungai Besar, Selangor. The programme was aimed to foster a caring relationship between the less fortunate families with Perangsang Selangor staff.

The two-days programme was participated by 60 Perangsang Cycling Team (PCT) cyclists and family members. The Community Programme began with a briefing by Halim Mohamed Redzuan, Secretary of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Penyayang Darul Ehsan, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) active in Selangor, followed by an opening speech by Rusnan Ismail, Kampung Desa Kasih Village Chief. Rusnan said, “Once, there were about 93 less fortunate families who received assistance from government agencies and NGOs.Now there are only 40 less fortunate families who are still receiving assistance living in Kampung Desa Kasih mostly from the Javanese and Banjar ancestry”.

The programme continued with a Medical Visit and House Cleaning activity to five less fortunate, disabled and senior citizen homes where Perangsang Selangor also presented daily necessities contribution worth RM50.

Later in the evening a Religious Talk presented by Ustaz Ehsan Yassin, Imam from Parit 10 Mosque, Sungai Besar was held at Surau Desa Kasih sharing general and conscious topics. After Isyak prayers, the programme was graced by poetry performances delivered by the villagers and representatives from Perangsang Selangor. The ceremony concluded with a dinner and street soccer game. On the second day, a fishing competition was held at a nearby canal, followed by sports and collaborative cooking activities among the villagers.

Also present Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Board Member of Perangsang Selangor who presented the tele-match, street soccer, fishing competition prizes as well as contribution on behalf of Perangsang Selangor to 40 less fortunate families from the village.

The programme ended with a ‘Nasi Ambeng’ feast for all guests. The Community Programme at Kampung Desa Kasih received sponsorship worth RM20,000 from Perangsang Selangor presented by Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility to Halim Mohamed Redzuan who also originated from the village.

1st Selangor Novice Meet Swimming Championship

19 November 2016 : Supershakz Swim School has organised the Selangor Swimming Championships 1st Novice Meet as part of Corporate Social Responsibility’s Sports for All programme sponsored by Perangsang Selangor.

The programme was held on 19 November 2016 at Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre in Shah Alam had attracted 606 primary school students between 8 to 12 years of age.

1st Series Of Badminton Clinic For Senior Citizens

2 August 2017 : Perangsang Selangor organised the first series of badminton clinic for senior citizens under the Perangsang Selangor Sports for All programme at the Champion Arena Badminton Hall, Kg Sungai Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya. A total of 45 senior citizens from Selangor attended the badminton clinic. A total of 4 badminton clinics for senior citizens will be conducted this year by J World Sports.

1st Series ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’

Kumpulan Selangor Perangsang Berhad in collaboration with Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) and Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) organised the ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ which was launched by Dato‘ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Selangor Menteri Besar at Giant Supermarket, Kota Damansara.

 

Among the objective of the programme is to create awareness on the 38 initiatives initiated by the Selangor State Government under the ‘Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ previously known as the People Based Economy programme. In line with the ‘State Revenue for the People’ agenda, the main focus of these programmes are to improve the quality of life for the people of Selangor by providing assistance through the agencies involved such as ‘Skim Peduli Sihat, ‘Hadiah Pengajian IPT’, ‘Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS)’, ‘Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE)’, Hijrah Scheme, Free Water Supply for the first 20 cubic meter, Selangor People’s Tuition Programme and Selangor Smart Bus. In addition, the carnival creates a platform for strategic partnerships between Perangsang Selangor, Hijrah, MBI, mass media, local authorities and other government agencies in Selangor.

 

YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar also presented the ‘Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ assistance amounting to over RM6.2 million to 682 recipients comprising 267 participants of the Selangor Hijrah Scheme (RM2.6 million), 180 People’s Religious Schools under the Selangor State School Assistance Programme (RM3.6 million), 100 ‘Skim Peduli Sihat’ (RM50,000), 100 Smart Food Stamp (RM5,000) and 35 ‘Program Khas Peduli Siswa’, while 50 senior citizens received cash and daily necessities worth RM15,000 under the ‘Program Tautan Kasih’ sponsored by MBPJ.

 

At the same event, MBPJ also launched a ‘Recycle Bag’ Campaign by distributing 150 bags of recycle sacks to the public in an effort to raise awareness and encourage the public to preserve the environment.

 

More than 2,000 visitors have thronged the Inisiatif Peduli Sihat with various activities such as kenduri rakyat, free health checks, and counter for ‘Bantuan Peduli Rakyat’, People’s Handicraft exhibits, sports activities as well as special performance by local artists.

2nd Series Of ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ Tour

12 August 2017 : The 2nd series of ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ (IPR) Tour was successfully organised at Padang Awam Kampung Baru, Batu Caves, Gombak. The event, aimed to create awareness and promote the 43 IPR assistance under the Selangor State Government to the people of Selangor. The ‘Karnival IPR’ started with the opening remarks presented by YB Sivarasa, Perangsang Selangor Director. The event was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Bin Ali, Menteri Besar Selangor and attracted more than 2,000 visitors. The event was co-organised with Hijrah Selangor and Majlis Perbandaran Selayang and participated by 9 IPR agencies. Various activities were organised such as IPR exhibition, street soccer with local celebrities, free hair cut and foot spa as well as ‘kenduri rakyat’ for the visitors.

2nd Series Of ‘Singgah Mesra Perangsang Selangor’ Programme

25 August 2018 : Perangsang Selangor through its corporate social responsibility initiative in collaboration with Kelab Sahabat Generasi Dinamik Malaysia (Genesis) and Sinar Harian organised the 2nd series of ‘Singgah Mesra Perangsang Selangor’ programme at Kampung Sungai Lang Tengah, Banting, participated by more than 650 people. During the programme, Perangsang Selangor presented financial assistance to 26 ‘asnaf’ families and less fortunate people and conducted various community activities including ‘gotong-royong’, eco-free market, religious talk and ‘hafazan’ competitions.

3rd Series Of Zakat Redistribution 2017

16 June 2017 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad and its subsidiaries have redistributed business tithe worth RM83,672.92 to 38 recipients comprising asnaf fisabilillah and poor people in conjunction with the month of Ramadan. In total, 30 underprivileged university students and 8 poor asnafs including single mothers received the financial assistance.

 

The contributions was presented by Suzila Khairuddin, Chief Operating Officer of Perangsang Selangor.

3rd Series Of ‘Singgah Mesra Perangsang Selangor’ Programme

26 September 2018 : The 3rd series of Singgah Mesra Perangsang Selangor organised by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad was held at SMK Seksyen 19, Shah Alam participated by 500 students and teachers.The programme held in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebration started with a patriotic song competition followed by poem performance by national poet, Cikgu Ahmad Sarju. As part of the environmental conservation initiative, five fruit trees were planted within the school compound. Also present, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Associate Director of Public Relations, Media and CSR who presented financial assistance to 20 less fortunate students and prizes to the winners.
