Business Tithe Contribution To Undergraduates

January 23, 2015 : Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) and its subsidiaries organised a Redistribution of Business Tithe ceremony at the Club Room, Plaza Perangsang.

 

The tithe was presented by Suzila Khairuddin, General Manager, Finance and Administration to 21 recipients, consisting of underprivileged students currently pursuing Islamic studies s in local and overseas universities and mosque amounting to RM83,500.

 

Ustaz Zaharudin Muhammad, Chief Religious Officer and Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor were present during the ceremony.

January 2, 2015 : Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) and Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) have joined the Selangor State Corporations and Corporate Post-Flood programme for the humanitarian mission of the flood victims in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perak.

 

The launching and cheque presentation ceremony was officiated by The Right Honourable Mohamed Azmin Ali, Chief Minister of Selangor. YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor presented KDEB’s donation of RM50,000 to Mohamed Azmin while Perangsang Selangor’s contribution of RM100,000 was presented by Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Board of Director, Perangsang Selangor at the SUK Lobby, Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam.

 

Dato' Noordin Sulaiman, Selangor State Financial Officer, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs & Heritage, Rural Development and Traditional Village, Dato' Teng Chang Khim, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Investment, Industry & Commerce, Small & Medium Industry and Transportation, Dr Daroyah Alwi, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development and senior state officials were present at the ceremony.

 

The contributions were part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to help alleviate the people’s anguish who suffered huge losses due to floods that hit several states recently.

RM50,000 Contribution For Back To School Programme

14 December 2014 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) has contributed RM50,000 for the Back to School Programme 2015, involving 2,200 underprivileged students organised by the Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (SWWCO) at the Megawati Hall, Official Residence of the Chief Minister of Selangor, Shah Alam.

 

The cheque was presented by YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor to Shamshida Taharin, wife of the Most Honourable Chief Minister of Selangor as the President of SWWCO.

 

The presentation ceremony was also enlivened with various activities such as performances by Upin and Ipin, distribution of vouchers, quizzes and lunch.

Perangsang-SKIMSEL Entrepreneurship Carnival

5 to 7 December 2014 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) in collaboration with Selangor Dar Al Qard Al Hasan Foundation, Selangor Micro Credit Scheme (SKIMSEL) agency organised the Perangsang-SKIMSEL Entrepreneurship Carnival (PSEC 2014) at Giant Hypermarket, Kemuning Utama, Shah Alam. The purpose of the carnival was to promote products and services provided by the Perangsang Selangor and SKIMSEL entrepreneurs to the public.

 

30 entrepreneurs under Perangsang Selangor and SKIMSEL from districts throughout Selangor, participated in the exhibition to promote and offer a wide variety of products and services such as handicrafts, frozen foods, bread, livestock and instant printing. Exhibitions and treatment services for facial, hair, pedicure and manicure were also available for free. Besides promoting their products and services, a public forum entitled “In Search of a Devoted Entrepreneur “ presented by Ustaz Mohamed Zahazan, an independent speaker and publisher of academic and religious book, Ustaz Ahmad Suhaimi Wakid, Selangor Islamic Affairs Officer, Dato’ Chef Li @ Dato’ Dr Rusly Abdullah, a successful food entrepreneur and Ustaz Ahmad Husni Abd Rahman, an independent speaker and “Let’s Hijrah” concert by popular singer Ito Blues Gang and Daqmie were also organised during the carnival.

 

PSEC 2014 was officiated by The Most Honourable Mohamed Azmin Ali, the Chief Minister of Selangor witnessed by The Honourable Dr Daroyah Alwi, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health, Welfare, Women and Family Affairs, The Honourable Dr Abd Rani Osman, Chairman of SKIMSEL, The Honourable Shuhaimi Shafiei, Sri Muda State Assemblyman, Dato’ Mohamad Roslan Sakiman, Selangor Deputy Secretary of Selangor (Development), Dato’ Noordin Sulaiman, Selangor State Financial Officer, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Board of Director, Perangsang Selangor and Amin Lin Abdullah, Head of Public Relations, Media and Corporate Social Responsibility, Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB).

 

Perangsang Selangor presented a donation worth RM223,850 to MJ Fatonah Sdn Bhd representing 30 livestock entrepreneurs, RM229,150 to ANQR Flash Stamp Agency representing 22 instant printing entrepreneurs, RM186,700 to My Chef Enterprise representing 33 Bakery manufacturing entrepreneurs, RM45,000 to the Kamsiah Sewing Academy representing 30 entrepreneurs, RM45,000 to Tini’s Spa. Beauty. Slimming representing 30 mobile SPA entrepreneurs, RM112,000 to Azla Management Sdn Bhd, representing 10 fibre pau entrepreneurs, RM13,100 to Intan Soraya Hashim as an initial capital assistance to open an Al-Quran recitation centre, RM7,050 to Rustina Ibrahim, a home bakery entrepreneur and RM100,000 to SKIMSEL for organising the PSEC 2014 carnival.

 

The Most Honourable Mohamed Azmin Ali, the Chief Minister of Selangor presented a mock cheque to the recipients amounting to RM961,850.

 

The 2-day Perangsang Entrepreneurship Carnival received 2,000 visitors comprising local communities and residents of Shah Alam.

December 2014 : Perangsang Selangor under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme contributed RM12,000 to Yayasan Al-Baghdadi for transportation cost of Adventures Al-Quran programme to Yala, Krabi and Koh Yao Yai, Thailand, RM10,000 to the Association of Indian Muslim Malaysia Goodwill Inspiration (MIMGI) for the the Al-Quran Recitation programme, RM5,000 to Nur Insiniah Welfare Club Selangor for the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) programme for underprivileged students in Teluk Panglima Garang, RM5,000 to Sakinah Gulam for her husband’s treatment of chronic diabetic and thyroid disease, RM3,600 to Maahad Tahfiz Sabil Al Quran Al-Zein Lil Banat, Shah Alam for the motivational programme transportation cost to Ulu Langat, RM3,000 to Parent Teachers Association (PTA), SK Bandar Baru, Batang Kali as donations to 30 students and 30 facilitators for the Project C5 (UPSR 2014) and RM 3,000 to Mohd Nazri Hasan, escalator maintenance mechanic at Plaza Perangsang, to cover the cost of treatment and to purchase a wheelchair for his diabetic auntie.

 

Donations were presented by Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor to the recipients.

SMK La Salle Wins Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup

SMK La Salle celebrating their victory as champion

22 November 2014 : SMK La Salle, Petaling Jaya won the Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup after defeating SMK USJ 8 with a 4-3 win through a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw. Trailing 2-1, SMK USJ 8 equalized at the final minute when SMK La Salle, who played with 10 players after Kuhan, received the red card. The game dragged into penalty shootout with the winning goal scored by Matthew Tristan Paul.

 

Dirga Surdi of SMK USJ 8 was named the best player in the finals, while M Danial Zuhairi Zainurin from SMK La Salle was the best goalkeeper and Zulkarnain Rosli of SMK Dato’ Harun was the tournament’s top goalscorer.

 

The playoffs for 3rd and 4th place was held at SMK USJ 23 saw SMK Section 16 defeated SMK Bukit Jelutong with a 2-1 win .

 

As champions, SMK La Salle received a trophy, medal and cash prize of RM5,000 while SMK USJ 8 as the runner-up received a medal and cash prize of RM4,000, 3rd place received a medal and cash prize of RM3,000 and cash prize of RM2,000 for 4th place.

 

Prizes and trophies were presented by the Most Honourable Mohamed Azmin Ali, the Chief Minister of Selangor to the winners and witnessed by Dato’ Emran Kadir, Chairman of Dato’ Mohktar Dahari Cup Committee and YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman, Perangsang Selangor. Mohd Salleh Mohd Kassim, Selangor Deputy Director of Education, Dato’ Kamarul Baharin Abass, Board Member of Perangsang Selangor, Senior Officials of the Football Association of Selangor, Petaling Jaya City Council, Subang Jaya Municipal Council, Shah Alam City Council and District Education Officers and District Sports Council of Petaling Jaya and Petaling Utama, attended the tournament.

 

Perangsang Selangor presented sponsorship worth RM120,000 to the Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Cup as one of Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme to promote football amongst secondary schools students in Selangor.
