1st Series Of Badminton Clinic For Senior Citizens

2 August 2017 : Perangsang Selangor organised the first series of badminton clinic for senior citizens under the Perangsang Selangor Sports for All programme at the Champion Arena Badminton Hall, Kg Sungai Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya. A total of 45 senior citizens from Selangor attended the badminton clinic. A total of 4 badminton clinics for senior citizens will be conducted this year by J World Sports.

1st Series ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’

Kumpulan Selangor Perangsang Berhad in collaboration with Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) and Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) organised the ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ which was launched by Dato‘ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Selangor Menteri Besar at Giant Supermarket, Kota Damansara.

 

Among the objective of the programme is to create awareness on the 38 initiatives initiated by the Selangor State Government under the ‘Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ previously known as the People Based Economy programme. In line with the ‘State Revenue for the People’ agenda, the main focus of these programmes are to improve the quality of life for the people of Selangor by providing assistance through the agencies involved such as ‘Skim Peduli Sihat, ‘Hadiah Pengajian IPT’, ‘Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS)’, ‘Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE)’, Hijrah Scheme, Free Water Supply for the first 20 cubic meter, Selangor People’s Tuition Programme and Selangor Smart Bus. In addition, the carnival creates a platform for strategic partnerships between Perangsang Selangor, Hijrah, MBI, mass media, local authorities and other government agencies in Selangor.

 

YAB Dato’ Menteri Besar also presented the ‘Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ assistance amounting to over RM6.2 million to 682 recipients comprising 267 participants of the Selangor Hijrah Scheme (RM2.6 million), 180 People’s Religious Schools under the Selangor State School Assistance Programme (RM3.6 million), 100 ‘Skim Peduli Sihat’ (RM50,000), 100 Smart Food Stamp (RM5,000) and 35 ‘Program Khas Peduli Siswa’, while 50 senior citizens received cash and daily necessities worth RM15,000 under the ‘Program Tautan Kasih’ sponsored by MBPJ.

 

At the same event, MBPJ also launched a ‘Recycle Bag’ Campaign by distributing 150 bags of recycle sacks to the public in an effort to raise awareness and encourage the public to preserve the environment.

 

More than 2,000 visitors have thronged the Inisiatif Peduli Sihat with various activities such as kenduri rakyat, free health checks, and counter for ‘Bantuan Peduli Rakyat’, People’s Handicraft exhibits, sports activities as well as special performance by local artists.

2nd Series Of ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ Tour

12 August 2017 : The 2nd series of ‘Karnival Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat’ (IPR) Tour was successfully organised at Padang Awam Kampung Baru, Batu Caves, Gombak. The event, aimed to create awareness and promote the 43 IPR assistance under the Selangor State Government to the people of Selangor. The ‘Karnival IPR’ started with the opening remarks presented by YB Sivarasa, Perangsang Selangor Director. The event was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Bin Ali, Menteri Besar Selangor and attracted more than 2,000 visitors. The event was co-organised with Hijrah Selangor and Majlis Perbandaran Selayang and participated by 9 IPR agencies. Various activities were organised such as IPR exhibition, street soccer with local celebrities, free hair cut and foot spa as well as ‘kenduri rakyat’ for the visitors.

3rd Series Of Zakat Redistribution 2017

16 June 2017 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad and its subsidiaries have redistributed business tithe worth RM83,672.92 to 38 recipients comprising asnaf fisabilillah and poor people in conjunction with the month of Ramadan. In total, 30 underprivileged university students and 8 poor asnafs including single mothers received the financial assistance.

 

The contributions was presented by Suzila Khairuddin, Chief Operating Officer of Perangsang Selangor.

7th Annual Supersharkz Swim Carnival

19 November 2017 : The 7th Annual Supersharkz Swim Carnival was held at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre, Shah Alam. 162 swimmers aged between 4 to 18 years took part in this year’s carnival. The prizes which consists of medals and certificates were presented by Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Associate Director Public Relations, Media and CSR of Perangsang Selangor.

Air Conditioning Repairing And Maintenance Training Programme

10-15 February 2017 : 20 Selangor People Career Stimulus (RKRS) programme participants have completed the Air Conditioning Repairing and Maintenance course at the Industry Training Institute (ILP), Jalan Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. The training was conducted on 10-15 February 2017 in collaboration with Adimega Sdn Bhd and ILP.

 

During the course, the participants were exposed to practical and theoretical air conditioning management skills such as air condition installation, installation of copper tubing, electrical testing, repair as well as maintenance.

 

Perangsang Selangor has contributed funds worth RM43,200 for this programme.

Amal Insani Exhibition

In conjunction with the World Autism Awareness Day, National Visual Arts Development Board (LPSVN) organised the ‘Amal Insani’ Ehxibition as a sign of support and to foster awareness among the public as well as providing support for autism children. This exhibition is a collaboration between Nouri’s Autism Support Initiative (INSANI) and the Malaysian Artpot Community Organisation (Artpot Community). A total of 47 works of art created by 35 participating artists in various themes were exhibited in the Creative Space @ National Portrait Gallery for fundraising purpose and all collections were channeled back to autism children fund for their future development.

Archery Clinic For Orphans

19-20 August 2017 : Perangsang Selangor organised an archery clinic conducted by Alpha Brothers Archery Club under Perangsang Selangor’s Sports for All programme for orphans at the Alpha Brothers Archery Club, Kampung Johan Setia, Klang. A total of 58 participants including teachers, students and orphans from Klang district attended the clinic. The purpose of the clinic is to provide exposure and opportunities to orphans to learn the basic techniques in archery.

1 August 2017 : A total of 110 ‘orang asal’ and orphans from SK Sungai Melut, SK Bukit Tampoi, SK Bukit Lanjan and Rumah Amal Asnaf Al-Barakh attended a badminton clinic conducted by former national player, Jason Wong at Champion Arena Badminton Hall, Kg Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya. The clinic is part of Perangsang Selangor’s Sports for All programme under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) initiative.

Badminton Clinics For 31 Autistic Students

24 May 2017 : A total of 31 special students from National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) have had the opportunity to attend a badminton clinic conducted by former national player, Jason Wong at Zelka Sports Center, Puchong.

 

The badminton clinic is part of Perangsang Selangor’s Sports for All programme under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) CSR initiative aimed at cultivating sports culture as well promoting a healthy lifestyle in addition to instilling interest and providing the opportunity for students, youths, senior citizens, indigenous people, orphanages and disabled people in Selangor to learn about sports.

 

For badminton, Perangsang Selangor have spent RM766,685 involving 1,137 participants, of which 211 of them are indigenous students, 82 orphans, 51 senior citizens, 64 disabled people and the rest are students from all districts in Selangor since 2014.

 

The sports clinic is the only programme involving badminton for autism students organised by Perangsang Selangor.

Bowling Clinic With The Disabled

20 August 2017 : Perangsang Selangor organised a bowling clinic conducted by JAB Bowling Academy under the Perangsang Selangor’s Sports for All programme for 38 disabled people from Kelab Boling Para Bersatu at Ampang Super Bowl, Bangi Gateway Mall. The purpose of the bowling clinic is to provide the community especially the disabled an opportunity to be involved in sports and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The clinic was officiated by Musyrifah Elias, Deputy Sports Director, Selangor Youth and Sports Department.

Clinical Cupping Therapy Training Programme

4-5 February 2017 : The Clinical Cupping Therapy entrepreneurship training programme 2016 under the Selangor People Career Stimulus (SPCS) initiative was conducted from 4–5 February at Suunah Kekabu Resort and Hotel, Seksyen 20, Shah Alam. The programme focuses on producing ethical clinical cupping entrepreneurs, enhancing communications skill and emphasises on the aspects of appearance as well as customer service.

 

Through a selection process conducted by House of Bekam, the appointed training provider, 30 participants from across Selangor have successful completed the course. They consists of fresh graduates, single mothers, self-employed and unemployed individuals who are keen to venture into clinical cupping therapy business. In year 2016, Perangsang Selangor has allocated funds worth RM72,000 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility effort to reduce the unemployment rate in Selangor.

CSR Contribution For Families Of Pusat Tahfiz Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah Fire Victims

11 November 2017 : Perangsang Selangor Chief Operating Officer, Suzila Khairuddin and the Public Relations, Media and CSR team visited Pusat Tahfiz Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah, Kampung Datuk Keramat to hand over a cash contribution worth RM12,010. The school’s caretaker, Ustaz Mohd Zahid Mahmod received the contribution from the donation campaign carried-out by Perangsang Selangor employees.
