RM1.4m Boost For Selangor Sports Stimulus
SSS outstanding athletes were rewarded cash insentives
March 6, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme contributed RM1.4 million to six (6) sports associations under the SSS namely Seintak Bowling Club RM250,000, J World Sports (Badminton) RM200,000, Selangor Cycling Association RM200,000, Supersharkz Swim School RM200,000, Munro Sports (Football) RM200,000, Selangor Squash Association of Malaysia RM100,000 as well as RM100,000 sponsorship to organise The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship and RM150,000 for The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup Football Championship.
At the same ceremony, Perangsang Selangor also presented incentives to the SSS athletes who obtained outstanding achievements in year 2014. Athletes who won a gold medal received cash incentive worth RM200, RM150 for silver medal and RM100 for bronze medal.
Swimming athletes managed to collect the most incentives of RM21,600 through 59 gold, 40 silver and 38 bronze medals while badminton athletes received RM5,100 through 12 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals. Cycling athletes received RM4,600 worth of incentives through 4 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals and the bowling athletes collected RM1,850 incentives with a total of 2 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals. This incentive is a reward to the athletes under SSS programme that has successfully lifted Perangsang Selangor’s reputation and to inspire them to work harder in the future.
The Honourable Amirudin Shari, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Youths and Sports Development, Culture and Entrepreneurship Development presented the contributions and incentives to the recipients witnessed by YM Raja Dato’ Haji Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Member of the Board of Directors, Perangsang Selangor and Datuk Emran Kadir, Chairman of the Main Committee, The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup and The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup at Laman Kayangan Hall, Youth and Cultural Complex, Section 7, Shah Alam.
