22 - 23 October 2016 : The Sepak takraw sport received a boost through the Perangsang Selangor Dreams Trio Programme which will be held for 6 months beginning October 2016 until February 2017 across 9 districts in Selangor.

On the 22 to 23 October 2016, the first edition of Dreams Trio programme was held at the Dewan Kiambang, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam which saw the Petaling district opened this unique program with 50 participants to promote sepak takraw to all walks of life and to lead a healhty lifestyle other than to elevate the sports tradition in the state in particular.

2 October 2014 : The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship, which was launched at SK Raja Muda, Shah Alam, will be the platform to identify talented young footballers amongst primary school students in Selangor.

 

The competition took off with the Raja Muda of Selangor’s Charity Cup where SK Raja Muda (Integrated)defeated last year’s champion SK Seksyen 24 with a 2-0 win.

 

The football competition was part of Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS)programme under Perangsang Selangor’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative with a total of RM80,000 contribution for the event. The contribution was presented by Mohd Fauzi Ghazali, Senior Manager of CSR, Perangsang Selangor to Datuk Emran Kadir, Chairman, Main Committee of Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship.

 

Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship was held from 2-30 October 2014. It was participated by 31 primary schools from the Petaling Perdana district. The champions received a trophy and cash prize of RM3,000, while the runners-up received a trophy and cash prize of RM2,000. For the 3rd and 4th place, each team received a cash prize of RM1,500 and RM1,000 respectively.

Livestock training programme 2016 has been implemented started from 27th until 30th December 2016 at MJ Fatonah Entrepreneurs Academy, Kampung Teluk Penyamun, Bestari Jaya, Selangor.

There were 30 selected entrepreneurs from all over Selangor which are unemployed, pensioners and self-employed have completed their 4 nights and 3 days theoretical and practical training in livestock industry. Perangsang Selangor has sponsored sum of RM45,000 as initiative under Selangor People Career Stimulus Programme (RKRS) in 2016.

6 November 2017 : A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) Signing Ceremony between Perangsang Selangor and Rangsangan Kerjaya Rakyat Selangor (RKRS) training providers were held at Meeting Room 1, Level 1A, Plaza Perangsang.Perangsang Selangor was represented by Associate Director of Public Relations, Media and CSR, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali and witnessed by Director of Legal, Norsham Ishak. Four training providers have been selected to carry-out the RKRS initiatives this year namely MJ Fatonah Sdn Bhd (livestock industry), YSP Management & Training Sdn Bhd (young contractors), AMTC Sdn Bhd (Mutawwif) and Hallmark Access Sdn Bhd (business and financial foundation softskills training).

February 26, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) signed a Memorandum of Agreement worth of RM1.125 million with 6 sports associations in Selangor namely Seintak Boling Club who received sponsorship worth RM250,000, Supersharkz Swim School RM200,000, J World Sports RM200,000, Selangor Cycling Association RM200,000, Munro Sports RM200,000 and Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia RM75,000 to implement the 2015 Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme.

 

Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor signed the Memorandum of Agreement on behalf of SSS while Seintak Bowling Club was represented by Mohd Abu Bakar, President, Supersharkz Swim School by Mark Chua Yu Foong, Director, J World Sports by Jason Wong, Director, Selangor Cycling Association by Noor Azhar Sakimin, Vice President, Munro Sports by Raja Mohd Kamil Raja Nur Azmi and Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia by Sivanesan Arul Chelvam, Vice/Acting President.

 

The ceremony was held at the Meeting Room 1, 17th Floor, Plaza Perangsang. SSS is part of Perangsang Selangor’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed to develop young athletes in sports such as bowling, swimming, cycling, badminton, football and squash and establish Perangsang Elite team to compete in national and international championships.

March 6, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme contributed RM1.4 million to six (6) sports associations under the SSS namely Seintak Bowling Club RM250,000, J World Sports (Badminton) RM200,000, Selangor Cycling Association RM200,000, Supersharkz Swim School RM200,000, Munro Sports (Football) RM200,000, Selangor Squash Association of Malaysia RM100,000 as well as RM100,000 sponsorship to organise The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship and RM150,000 for The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup Football Championship.

 

At the same ceremony, Perangsang Selangor also presented incentives to the SSS athletes who obtained outstanding achievements in year 2014. Athletes who won a gold medal received cash incentive worth RM200, RM150 for silver medal and RM100 for bronze medal.

 

Swimming athletes managed to collect the most incentives of RM21,600 through 59 gold, 40 silver and 38 bronze medals while badminton athletes received RM5,100 through 12 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals. Cycling athletes received RM4,600 worth of incentives through 4 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals and the bowling athletes collected RM1,850 incentives with a total of 2 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals. This incentive is a reward to the athletes under SSS programme that has successfully lifted Perangsang Selangor’s reputation and to inspire them to work harder in the future.

 

The Honourable Amirudin Shari, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Youths and Sports Development, Culture and Entrepreneurship Development presented the contributions and incentives to the recipients witnessed by YM Raja Dato’ Haji Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Member of the Board of Directors, Perangsang Selangor and Datuk Emran Kadir, Chairman of the Main Committee, The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup and The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup at Laman Kayangan Hall, Youth and Cultural Complex, Section 7, Shah Alam.

RM50,000 Contribution For Back To School Programme

14 December 2014 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) has contributed RM50,000 for the Back to School Programme 2015, involving 2,200 underprivileged students organised by the Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (SWWCO) at the Megawati Hall, Official Residence of the Chief Minister of Selangor, Shah Alam.

 

The cheque was presented by YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor to Shamshida Taharin, wife of the Most Honourable Chief Minister of Selangor as the President of SWWCO.

 

The presentation ceremony was also enlivened with various activities such as performances by Upin and Ipin, distribution of vouchers, quizzes and lunch.

RSS Swimmers Shine At Selangor Invitational Championship

Swimmers under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme, sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor), participated in the 200 and 100 meter breaststroke, 100 and 50 meters backstroke, 800, 200 and 50 meters freestyle and 50 meters butterfly in Selangor Arena Short Course Invitational Championship at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre, Shah Alam from 18-23 March 2015 organised by the Selangor Amateur Swimming Association (SASA).

 

Jordin Yip, 16 years became the overall champion in the men's category by collecting 5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Meanwhile in th women’s category, Maryann Kok Cher Ling, 19 years became the overall champion with 9 gold and 2 silver medals.

 

The tournament was participated by 650 swimmers from 20 clubs throughout Malaysia.

September 22, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) became the main sponsor for Selangor Closed Squash Championship 2015. At the opening ceremony, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali presented a sponsorship mock-cheque worth of RM36,428 to Farid Yunus, President of Selangor Squash Association.

 

The Selangor Closed Squash Championship 2015 which was held from 22 September until 26 September 2015, was seen as the best platform to scout for young squash talentsin Selangor. The tournament was participated by 216 youths aged between 9 to 19 years from squash clubs throughout Selangor.

 

A total of six categories were contested namely under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 years old. Attractive prizes were provided to the winners of which the champion will receive a medal, cash prize worth RM1,000 and sponsorship goods, runners-up will receive a medal, cash prize worth RM350 and sponsorships goods and third place will receive a trophy and cash prize worth RM150.

 

"We received an overwhelming response compared to last year’s tournament of only 166 participants. One of the players who is expected to steal the focus is Muhammad Harris Ramlee, 14 years of age that have won several international tournaments like the Australian Open, Japan Open and Borneo Open recently".

 

This tournament is for the young players to showcase their level of skill and capabilities. Winners of the tournament would be given a chance to represent Selangor in national tournament circuits and SUKMA.

Selangor Novice Meet Swimming Championship

1-2 September 2018 : Supershakz Swim School organised the 3rd Selangor Swimming Championships Novice Meet as part of the Sports for All programme sponsored by Perangsang Selangor. The programme was held on 1-2 September 2018 at Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre in Shah Alam which attracted 735 primary school students between 8 to 12 years of age.
