5 November 2016 : On the 5-6 November 2016 the Alpha Brothers Archery Club (ABAC) organised an archery clinic participated by 50 students from schools within the Petaling district located at the Padang Rakyat Taman Subang Perdana U3, Shah Alam. The ‘Sports for All’ programme is part of Perangsang Selangor’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the community in Selangor.

The sports programme will be expanded to all 9 districts in the state, namely Petaling, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, Klang, Gombak, Sabak Bernam and Sepang. The next archery clinic tour will be held in Kuala Selangor on 19th and 20th November 2016 at the Padang Memanah at the Kuala Selangor Stadium.

The objective of this programme is to provide exposure, instilling interest and opportunities to all the people of various races and ages in addition to unearth new talents, develop future athletes and to foster a sports culture among the students and community.

Apart from archery clinic for youths, there was also a demonstration of archery such as Recurve, Barebow and Compund bows on the first day by coach and ABAC members where visitors were also given the opportunity to participate. On the 2nd day of the programme, a mini archery competition was held among the participants and visitors where the winners took home prizes and certificates.

Overall the 2-days archery clinic programme went well and received an overwhelming response from students, parents and visitors.

The Sports for All (SFA) programme is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor). The programme comprises eight different sports, namely badminton, archery, sepak takraw, cycling, bowling, swimming, squash and football. It will be expanded across the state of Selangor starting in October 2016 until February 2017. Among the objectives of the programme are to promote healthy living, inculcate sports culture among the youths, provide opportunities for people to learn and understand the technical aspects and latest technology in sports as well as to search for new talents.

The SFA programme started with badminton where J World Sports, the appointed training provider will organise six Badminton Clinics involving approximately 300 participants in several districts and community centers in Selangor.

According to Jason Wong, head coach, said, “The response from badminton fans is overwhelming. Besides learning to hold a racket, they also learned the right way to hit and move”.

“Through this programme, we are hoping to unearth new talents especially among the youths so that they could represent the state of Selangor and Malaysia one day”.

SSS Athelete Excels In The 39th Malaysian International Open Bowling Championship

Teenage bowler Nurul Ayunni Junaidi, under the patronage of Selangor Sports Stimulus programme (SSS) sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor), won the Women’s Grade category in the 39th Malaysian International Open Bowling Championship held at Sunway Mega lanes, Sunway Pyramid recently.

The 9-days tournament which began from 27 April to 7 May, 2016 have drawn 270 participants from bowling clubs across Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Kuwait, USA, England, Philippines, Chinese Taipei and Taiwan.

In the final, Nurul Ayunni managed to collect a total of 1,644 pin falls defeating her closest rival Puteri Nurshahira also from Malaysia with a total of 1,616 pin fall. As champion, Nurul Ayunni took home the championship trophy and a cash prize of RM3,000.00.

The talented youth was trained by Razif Abu Bakar, Seintak Bowling Club coach for the past three years. Previously, Nurul Ayunni has also participated in several national competitions and among her outstanding achievements was as the champion in Women’s Doubles category at the MSSM Tenpin Bowling (2015) tournament, champion in the Women’s Category at the National Youth Circuit Tenpin Bowling Championship 2015 (Sabah) and as runner-up in the National Junior Circuit Bowling Championships 2015 (Sarawak).

‘Perangsang With The People 3.0’ Assist 500 Less Fortunate And Single Mothers

Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Islamic Religious Department organised the ‘Perangsang With The People 3.0’ (PWP 3.0) programme at five areas namely Tanjung Karang, Hulu Selangor, Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor. During the PWF 3.0 programme 100 selected less fortunate and single mothers received groceries such as rice, oil, sugar and flour as well as a cash of RM50.

27 February 2016 : The first PWP 3.0 programme was held at Dewan Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) Kampong Parit Serong and Sungai Gulang-Gulang, Tanjung Karang. The programme started with dhuha sermon by Council Member of Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor, Mohd Noor Sahar at the Nurul Iman mosque followed by a mass cemetery clean up activity, fruit carving contest, free motorcycle service and colouring contest for children. The highlight of the event was the ‘kenduri rakyat’ attended by about 800 guests consisting of locals from nearby villages. Board member of Perangsang Selangor, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub presented the donation witnessed by Ustaz Zaharuddin Muhammad, Chief Religious Officer, Perangsang Selangor, Nor Azlan Ahmad, community services coordinator of Sungai Burong and Haji Yahya Mat Sahri, community service coordinator of Permatang. The opening ceremony was graced by Muhd Jafaruddin Sheik Daud, council member of Kuala Selangor District Council and Azahari Sairin, Secretary, Kuala Selangor District Council. The closing ceremony was officiated by Muhd Jafaruddin Sheik Daud, council member of Kuala Selangor District Council and Azahari Sairin, Secretary of Kuala Selangor District Council.

6 Mac 2016 : PWP 3.0 continued at the night market, Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung, Hulu Selangor. Khalid Jaafar representative from the Chief Minister of Selangor’s Office officiated and further presented the donation witnessed by Ustaz Zaharuddin Muhammad, Chief Religious Officer, Perangsang Selangor and Haji Nazar, community service coordinator, Batang Kali. About 400 local residents participated in the mass clean-up activity, free motor cycles service and futsal tournament for youths.

17 Mac 2016 : The 3rd programme was held at Parit 4 Mosque, Sungai Haji Dorani, Sungai Panjang officiated by Dr Shaharuddin Badaruddin, Vice Chancellor, UNISEL. Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, board member of Perangsang Selangor presented the donations witnessed by Ustaz Zaharudin Mohammad, Chief Religious Officer, Perangsang Selangor, Ustaz Razali Saari, community service coordinator, Sungai Panjang and Haji Pauzi, council member of Sabak Bernam District Council. A total of 400 surrounding residents participated in the competitions such as cooking, teh tarik competition, and sago dessert and pancake making. In addition, free health screenings and exhibitions, colouring activities for children, mass mosque clean up and ‘kenduri rakyat’ was organised during the one day programme.

18-19 Mac 2016 : The programme in Sabak Bernam was officiated by Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, board member of Perangsang Selangor and further presented the donation to selected individuals at community centre, Taman Berjaya, Pekan Sabak witnessed by Ustaz Zaharudin Muhammad, Chief Religious Officer, Perangsang Selangor, Ustaz Solihin Mukyi, Sabak assemblyman and Haji Abu Talib, council member of Sabak Bernam District Council.
Various competitions were held such as futsal, archery, carom, cooking, healthy food preparation and colouring for children. The highlight of the event was the ‘kenduri rakyat’ attended by 500 residents.

26 Mac 2016 : Bukit Badong village, Ijok was a final destination for PWP 3.0. The event was held at the Dewan Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) with the attendance of 300 nearby residents. Various activities were held such as sports, mass ‘surau’ clean up, healthy meals cooking demonstration, presentation of pesticides and fertilizers, colouring contest for children and ended with the ’kenduri rakyat’.
