October 29, 2015 : The Corporate Social Responsibility Department, Perangsang Selangor presented financial assistance amounted to RM68,965.82 under the Employee Emergency Assistance Programme as medical and disaster aid. January 31, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) received the Friends of Libarary award from the Selangor Public Library Corporation (SPLC) as an appreciation for the company’s contribution during the Opening Ceremony of the Knowledge Day and the State of Selangor Book Fair 2015 held at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC).

 

Perangsang Selangor contributed funds amounting to RM1.3 million for infrastructure development and books collection of eight Public Libraries in Selangor namely in Semenyih Library in Hulu Langat, Bukit Beruntung Library in Hulu Selangor, Taman Seri Manja Library in Petaling Jaya, Sri Perantau Community Library in Port Klang, Ampang Waterfront Library in Ampang, Pandan Jaya Library in Ampang, Rawang Branch Library in Gombak, and Lembah Jaya Library in Ampang . The library development projects were implemented since 2009 until 2014.

Disember 14-18, 2015 : Selangor People Career Stimulus (SPCS) programme under the Corporate Social Responsibility Department, Perangsang Selangor has sponsored 20 single parents and housewives to participate in Maternity Care training course conducted by Tini’s Spa at Section 7, Shah Alam.

During the 5 days course, participants were taught skills such as post-natal massage,, baby bathing and massage skill as well as basic nutrients during confinement. They were also taught on management and marketing aspects such as therapist ethics, operations management, time management, appointments, stock, financial management, sales targets, cost calculation, profit and effective marketing strategy.

At the end of the course, participants would be able to run a mobile post-natal care and massage services charging between RM80-RM100 or RM450 for a 3 days package that promises a monthly income of RM1,800.

April 22, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Selangor Community Responsibility Stimulus (SCRS) programme sponsored the installation and supply of 180 stainless steel tables and 360 stainless steel benches worth RM400,000 to 30 Tamil Primary School Canteens in Selangor at SJK (Tamil) Ladang Midlands, Section 7, Shah Alam, Selangor.

 

The contributions were presented by YB Sivarasa Rasiah, Member of the Board of Corporate Social Responsibility Perangsang Selangor to representative of selected Tamil Primary Schools in Selangor with the hope of providing a condusive learning environment to the students and improve the image of the canteens.

 

The event was also attended by the President of Tamil Foundation Malaysia, Annamalai Raghavan, representative of Selangor Tamil schools, K. Arumugam, Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility Perangsang Selangor, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Principals and Parent and Teachers Association representatives of Tamil Primary Schools in Selangor and the media.

Perangsang Selangor Unearth Young Talented Cyclist

October 10, 2015 : Cycling has become the latest trend among the society, especially youngsters who want to live a healthy and active life. Aware of this, Corporate Social Responsibility department of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) under the Selangor Sport Stimulus (SSS) programme in collaboration with Clever Speda School organised a Cycling Clinic at SMK Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam. The programme aimed to provide exposure, create awareness among the students and unearth new talents to be absorbed into the elite squad of SSS besides practising a healthy lifestyle.

 

A total of 26 boys and 14 girls aged between 13 and 14 years participated in the programme, which was launched by Mohd Ismail Zam Zam, Assistant Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor and organised by Mohd Sabri, Hadi Putra Ismail and Mahadzir Hamad from Clever Speda School.

 

This Cycling Clinic is the second series implemented in 2015.

February 26, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) signed a Memorandum of Agreement worth of RM1.125 million with 6 sports associations in Selangor namely Seintak Boling Club who received sponsorship worth RM250,000, Supersharkz Swim School RM200,000, J World Sports RM200,000, Selangor Cycling Association RM200,000, Munro Sports RM200,000 and Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia RM75,000 to implement the 2015 Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme.

 

Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor signed the Memorandum of Agreement on behalf of SSS while Seintak Bowling Club was represented by Mohd Abu Bakar, President, Supersharkz Swim School by Mark Chua Yu Foong, Director, J World Sports by Jason Wong, Director, Selangor Cycling Association by Noor Azhar Sakimin, Vice President, Munro Sports by Raja Mohd Kamil Raja Nur Azmi and Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia by Sivanesan Arul Chelvam, Vice/Acting President.

 

The ceremony was held at the Meeting Room 1, 17th Floor, Plaza Perangsang. SSS is part of Perangsang Selangor’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative aimed to develop young athletes in sports such as bowling, swimming, cycling, badminton, football and squash and establish Perangsang Elite team to compete in national and international championships.

March 6, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme contributed RM1.4 million to six (6) sports associations under the SSS namely Seintak Bowling Club RM250,000, J World Sports (Badminton) RM200,000, Selangor Cycling Association RM200,000, Supersharkz Swim School RM200,000, Munro Sports (Football) RM200,000, Selangor Squash Association of Malaysia RM100,000 as well as RM100,000 sponsorship to organise The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup Football Championship and RM150,000 for The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup Football Championship.

 

At the same ceremony, Perangsang Selangor also presented incentives to the SSS athletes who obtained outstanding achievements in year 2014. Athletes who won a gold medal received cash incentive worth RM200, RM150 for silver medal and RM100 for bronze medal.

 

Swimming athletes managed to collect the most incentives of RM21,600 through 59 gold, 40 silver and 38 bronze medals while badminton athletes received RM5,100 through 12 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals. Cycling athletes received RM4,600 worth of incentives through 4 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals and the bowling athletes collected RM1,850 incentives with a total of 2 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals. This incentive is a reward to the athletes under SSS programme that has successfully lifted Perangsang Selangor’s reputation and to inspire them to work harder in the future.

 

The Honourable Amirudin Shari, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Youths and Sports Development, Culture and Entrepreneurship Development presented the contributions and incentives to the recipients witnessed by YM Raja Dato’ Haji Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of Perangsang Selangor, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, Member of the Board of Directors, Perangsang Selangor and Datuk Emran Kadir, Chairman of the Main Committee, The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup and The Mokhtar Dahari’s Cup at Laman Kayangan Hall, Youth and Cultural Complex, Section 7, Shah Alam.

RSS Swimmers Shine At Selangor Invitational Championship

Swimmers under the Selangor Sports Stimulus (SSS) programme, sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor), participated in the 200 and 100 meter breaststroke, 100 and 50 meters backstroke, 800, 200 and 50 meters freestyle and 50 meters butterfly in Selangor Arena Short Course Invitational Championship at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre, Shah Alam from 18-23 March 2015 organised by the Selangor Amateur Swimming Association (SASA).

 

Jordin Yip, 16 years became the overall champion in the men's category by collecting 5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Meanwhile in th women’s category, Maryann Kok Cher Ling, 19 years became the overall champion with 9 gold and 2 silver medals.

 

The tournament was participated by 650 swimmers from 20 clubs throughout Malaysia.

Search For New Squash Talent

September 22, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) became the main sponsor for Selangor Closed Squash Championship 2015. At the opening ceremony, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali presented a sponsorship mock-cheque worth of RM36,428 to Farid Yunus, President of Selangor Squash Association.

 

The Selangor Closed Squash Championship 2015 which was held from 22 September until 26 September 2015, was seen as the best platform to scout for young squash talentsin Selangor. The tournament was participated by 216 youths aged between 9 to 19 years from squash clubs throughout Selangor.

 

A total of six categories were contested namely under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 years old. Attractive prizes were provided to the winners of which the champion will receive a medal, cash prize worth RM1,000 and sponsorship goods, runners-up will receive a medal, cash prize worth RM350 and sponsorships goods and third place will receive a trophy and cash prize worth RM150.

 

"We received an overwhelming response compared to last year’s tournament of only 166 participants. One of the players who is expected to steal the focus is Muhammad Harris Ramlee, 14 years of age that have won several international tournaments like the Australian Open, Japan Open and Borneo Open recently".

 

This tournament is for the young players to showcase their level of skill and capabilities. Winners of the tournament would be given a chance to represent Selangor in national tournament circuits and SUKMA.

April 4, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) has contributed equipments and initial capital assistance to 10 beneficiaries of the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under the Selangor Entrepreneurship Stimulus (SES) programme.

 

The contributions were presented to 2 single mothers and 3 disabled recipients by Abdul Latif Nabibas, Executive Chairman of Azla Management Sdn Bhd at the Fiber Dumpling Distribution Center Village Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, Selangor The single mothers each received a set of fiber dumpling static kiosk while the disabled recipients received a set of fiber dumpling tricycle kiosk. The single mothers who received the contribution are Fouziah of Taman Melati, Gombak and Suhaila of Section 17, Shah Alam and the disabled recipients are Rahim from Bukit Kuching, Jeram, Zulkifli from 11 Miles, Ulu Langat and Sheikh Ismail of Sekinchan. The event was attended by 50 local residents of Village Coalfields, Sungai Buloh.

November 5, 2015 : SK Section 20 Shah Alam team coached by Noor Azman Hashim clinched their 8th title after defeating SK Section 24 Shah Alam 2-1 during the final match held at SUK field, Shah Alam.

 

The goals were scored by Muhammad Faiz Amer Runnizar and Muhamad Farez Iqhmal Nazarudin in each half to ensure victory for Section 20 while SK Section 24’s consolation goal was scored by Muhammad Raziq Rafi through a free kick in the second half.

 

The prize and championship trophy was presented by Tengku Panglima Diraja Selangor, YAM Tengku Sulaiman Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj witnessed by the Organising Committee Chairman of Raja Muda Selangor Cup’s Championship, Datuk Emran Kadir and Chairman of Perangsang Selangor, YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin.

 

As champions, SK Section 20 received a cash prize worth RM4,000, including a challenge trophy, medals and certificates while the runners-up received RM3,000, medals and certificates.

 

Ahmad Uday Zidane Ariffin from (SK Section 20), was named the best goalkeeper, Nik Mohd Alif Nik Muhamad Radzilan (SK Section 20) and Muhammad Aliff Izwan (SK Seksyen 24) were the tournament’s joined top scorer with 7 goals, while the best player in the final match was Muhammad Faiz Amer Runnizar (SK Sekysen 20).

 

The Raja Muda of Selangor’s Cup championship was mooted by the HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj in 1988 when he was the Raja Muda Selangor aimed to unearth talented football players under 12 years of age in the state of Selangor. The tournament has attracted 576 football players from 32 national schools under the Petaling Perdana and Petaling Utama district.

 

Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) has emerged as the main sponsor of the 28th edition of Raja Muda Selangor’s Cup with the sponsorship of RM100,000.

October 11, 2015 : In the final match of Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari’s Championship Cup sponsored by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) SMK Tinggi Kajang emerged as champions by defeating SMK Meru 1-0 at PKNS Sports Complex, Kelana Jaya. As champions, SMK Tinggi Kajang took home a cash prize of RM10,000, medal and trophy while SMK Meru received cash prize of RM7,000 and medal as runner-up. Meanwhile, SMK Sultan Sulaiman Shah, Bestari Jaya took third place with a cash prize of RM5,000 and medal after defeating SMK La Salle in fourth place with RM3,000 and medal.

 

The prizes was presented by the Selangor Chief Minister, the Honourable Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, witnessed by the Main Committee Chairman of Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari’s Football Championship Cup, Datuk Emran Kadir, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Perangsang Selangor, Ahmad Fariz Hassan, , Perangsang Selangor’s Board of Director, Mustaffa Kamil Ayub as well as Deputy Director Selangor State Education Department, officials from Subang Jaya Municipal Council (SJMC), Shah Alam City Council (SACC), Petaling Jaya City Council (PJCC), Selangor Football Association (SFA), Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), Petaling Pedana and Petaling Utama District Education Office, parents and spectators. The tournament was participated by thirty-two (32) secondary schools under 10 education offices from every district in Selangor.

 

The championship began with a trophy presentation ceremony by the Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor to the Main Committee Chairman of Dato’ Mokhtar Dahari Football Championship at Istana Bukit Kayangan, Shah Alam on 27 August, 2015. In addition, a total of 160 players and teachers participated in a seminar on ‘career as a professional footballer’ on 5 September 2015 aimed to provide an overview as a professional football player. This tournament has also become a platform to unearth talented football players to represent Selangor and Malaysia football team someday.

Squash Court For Special Students

May 18, 2015 : Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (Perangsang Selangor) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Unit has contributed RM75,000 for the refurbishment of two squash courts at SK Sultan Alam Shah (1), Petaling Jaya, with the intention to provide a facility and opportunity for special students between 7 to 12 years of age to participate and improve their skills in squash. Apart from that, the contribution also covers the sponsorship of organising the Junior Squash Tournament, T-shirts, glasses and coaching led by professional trainers from the Squash Racquet Association of Selangor (SRAS).

 

In addition, Perangsang Selangor in collaboration with SRAS and the Petaling Utama District Education Department have organised the 'Sports for All' programme. Under the programme, students were given an introduction to squash by professional SARS coach beginning from April to December 2015. Talented players will also have a chance to be selected into the Perangsang Selangor Elite team and compete in local as well as international tournaments.

 

Mohd Fauzi Mohd Ghazali, Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, Perangsang Selangor said, “The contribution is part of Perangsang Selangor’s corporate social responsibility initiative to develop squash among young athletes in Selangor and to produce champions in the future".

The Selangor Community Responsibility Stimulus Programme
